Maniguin (Maningning) Island
Another
potential tourist destination, commonly known as Maningning. It will take 3
hours and 30 minutes ride by means of pump boat/motorboat from coast of
Poblacion. Like so many islands, Maniguin also enjoys favourable climatic
conditions. This island has rich oil and mineral deposits. Aside of the perfect
and nice view, Maningning was also characterize as a fine and white sand
island.
It has historical landmarks in the area called the lighthouse and
bunkhouse which are built in 1901. The lighthouse has 87 steps or equivalent of
90 feet high while the bunkhouse used as their accommodation facilities
whenever visitors come to their place. This island is perfect for diving and
swimming in clear and clean water.
